"I will confess." Here he sets forth the fruit of assistance. And first, on his part. Second, on the part of the enemies, at "let them not rejoice." Third, on the part of the just, at "let them exult." The fruit on the part of the one freed is the praise of God; hence he says, "I will confess to you and praise you, because you have freed me." Ps. 65: "I will render my vows to you," etc. …
