The art on VRSZ cards comes from works in the public domain, shared by:

When you make a card, the title, artist and date of each picture are shown above it. If you believe a picture is shown in error, or that it is not in the public domain, please contact us and we will remove it.

The Church Fathers

The patristic quotations come from the Historical Christian Faith Commentaries Database, a public-domain compilation that arranges the Fathers' writings by verse. The English translations are drawn mainly from the nineteenth-century Ante-Nicene Fathers and Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers series and from John Henry Newman's 1841 translation of the Catena Aurea. Each quote on VRSZ links to its full source text.

We have chosen to include writers the Church honors as saints and Fathers, and have left out authors later condemned or not venerated. Selections are short and arranged by verse; the full works are always one tap away.
