Matthew 26:33

Eastern Fathers

John Chrysostom

"But Peter answered and said, Though all men should be offended because of Thee, yet will I never be offended." What sayest thou, O Peter? the prophet said, "The sheep shall be scattered;" Christ hath confirmed the saying, and sayest thou, No? Theophylact of Ohrid

Peter answered and said unto Him, Though all shall stumble and fall because of Thee, yet will I never stumble and fall.
