Now it came to pass, when Jesus had returned, etc. Above, the Evangelist showed the dominion and authority of Christ over corporeal creation in the calming of the tempest, and over spiritual creation in the expulsion of the demon; here he shows that he has dominion over the creature composed of both in the healing of the woman with the flow of blood and the raising of the girl.
