And as to the punishment, and he has poured out: pour out your indignation upon them (Ps 68:25[69:24]), "pouring out" signifies its abundance. Third, he excludes knowledge of the truth: and has burnt him, namely, with material fire through the wasting by their enemies, and he knew not, that he was punished by God for his sins: they have not known nor understood (Ps 81:5).
