Fourth, he sets out the punishment as to men: I will lay waste the mountains, the great, hills, the middle ranks, grass, the common people: and I will make mount Seir waste and desolate (Ezek 35:7); and as to the removal of every teaching or consolation, I will turn rivers into islands: he has turned rivers into a wilderness: and the sources of waters into dry ground (Ps 106:33). This can also be referred to the destruction of the enemies of the Jews by Darius.
