In another way he renders them attentive by assuring them of the truth of what he is about to say, and so he says, "If I am judged, I know I will be found just," which he certainly does not say about his own innocence, since he has already said, "I will blame my own conduct in His presence." (v.15) But he says this of the truth of the doctrine about which they were disputing as though in a trial. The one is found just in a trial in whose favor the sentence is decided. …
