885. Second, he promises liberation: the former things of old. And concerning this, he does three things: first, he shows the majesty of God who promises it; second, he shows the prosperity of Cyrus who executes it: assemble yourselves together, all you, etc.; third, he promises liberation: come near unto me (Isa 48:16).
