141. And there shall be a tabernacle. Here he describes the same benefit through the metaphor of a tabernacle. Hence he places the things for which a tabernacle is useful: for it protects against the heat by its shade, and as to this, he says, for a shade in the daytime from the heat, that is, in the day; second, it protects against the attack of the storm, providing security, and as to this he says, and for a security . . . …
