729. Look upon Zion. Here he leads to consideration of the worthiness of the liberated city. And first, as to its abundance of goods, setting out four things which are in the heavenly or the militant Church, namely, joy of heart: the city of our solemnity, above: as in the voice of the sanctified solemnity, and joy of heart (Isa 30:29). Wealth of goods: your eyes shall see Jerusalem, a rich habitation, above: and my people shall sit in the beauty of peace, and in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest (Isa 32:18). …
